Ye Ni is fascinated in organizing images, elements, and objects into narratives, re-contextualizing and re-arranging how they could be.
Her works exist as a self portraits that question the relationship between rootedness and identity, nature and nurture, and what persists beyond culture, borders, and social stratification.
She explores topics of archiving and preserving, as well as cycles and systems that function in this world.
Modern artifacts are her primary interest.
